CALIFORNIA GIRLS AT THE HIVE GALLERY, DTLA, SEPTEMBER 2018

California female and female identifying artists are encouraged to submit works of high art. Feel free to explore any theme. All types of work are welcome for submission: painting, sculpture, fiber, mixed media, collage, assemblage... The only thing we aren't showing are large installation pieces or film/video.

 

Submission Details:

Eligibility: Artists over 18 are eligible. Work can utilize any medium. Works should have no dimension larger than 24” (unless you contact me specifically). Works must be wall mountable and ready to hang, or, for sculptural pieces, no bigger than 24" at their largest dimension (again, can contact me specifically to discuss exceptions) and stable to place out. Work must be original and created after 2014. All work must be available for sale for the entire run of the show (gallery takes 50% commission of all sales). All work must be made by women or female identifying artists living in the state of California. Entries that differ significantly from their digital images may be rejected. The decision of the curators are final.

Guidelines/Requirements:

DEADLINE: August 1, 2018 Submit by email to: schindermania (at) gmail {dot} com. Entries must be emailed by August 1, 2018. 

There is an $20 entry fee, 3 works per entry - a maximum of 1 detail per work.

Images must be correctly sized -300 dip, largest dimension 8 inches MAX, jpeg only.
ZIPPED FILES WILL NOT BE OPENED.

Please label images with artist's name and title of work (eg: "ellen_schinderman_erotic_embroidery").

Please include all work details including title, dimensions, medium, materials, date, and price, your name (and if you show under another name as an artist), email address, website and/or blog url.
